(Signal Hill) – Keir Jones, local small businessman and candidate for Signal Hill City Council, last night won the endorsement of the Los Angeles County Democratic Party in a unanimous vote, following the unanimous recommendation of a local panel of Democrats.
“As a longtime Democrat, I am proud to have the endorsement of the Los Angeles County Democratic Party,” said Jones. “As a Councilmember for Signal Hill, I will work toward the Democratic principles of expanding prosperity and ensuring equal rights for all.”

Keir Jones is running for City Council to ensure that Signal Hill lives up to its full potential. Keir is a business owner with an award winning State Farm Insurance agency and a passionate community volunteer. Recognized as a one of “40 Under 40” by the Long Beach Post, he has also served on the board of the Legal Aid Foundation and as the President of the Long Beach Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce.
Keir grew up in San Clemente moving to Signal Hill after college and graduate school where he earned a degree in business, with emphasis in accounting and marketing. He lives in the West Bluff-Skyline HOA with his husband Thomas-Michael and his schnauzer Winston.
