Dear Voter --
The March 7th Signal Hill City Council Election is just three weeks away and it is critical that we ensure LGBT community leaders like Keir Jones are elected to office. Keir has been active for many years in leadership positions supporting the organizations on which the LGBT community depends, including Equality California and the Human Rights Campaign. He has also served on the board of the Legal Aid Foundation and as president of the Long Beach Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce.
As we speak, forces are working to roll back years of progress on LGBT equality, women’s rights, and immigrant rights. We need community members who are committed to defending our values of inclusion, fairness, and respect – and that’s why Equality California is proud to endorse Keir Jones for Signal Hill City Council.
But we can't protect these values if you don't vote. Our right to vote is our most powerful tool to protect our civil rights here in California and across the country.
So, make a plan to get to the polls on March 7th or submit your Vote-by-Mail ballot.
*For those that vote by mail, you should have already received your ballot so remember to mail it in or return it in person at any of the VBM drop-off locations here.
Polls are open on Tuesday, March 7th from 7am - 8pm. For polling places and other voting information from the Los Angeles County Registrar, click here.
Our voice and our vote make it possible for California to continue to lead the resistance! Stand with Equality California to help elect Keir Jones to Signal Hill City Council – and he will stand with us!
