Long Beach Mayor Endorses Keir Jones in Signal Hill City Council Campaign

(Signal Hill) – Today Keir Jones, local small businessman and candidate for Signal Hill City Council, announced the endorsement of Long Beach Mayor Robert Garcia.


“Keir Jones is a smart, hardworking, and passionate member of his community,” said Garcia. “His business acumen and vision for the development of Signal Hill and the greater Long Beach area make him a great candidate for City Council. I am proud to endorse him.”


Jones cited the importance of the Long Beach – Signal Hill relationship to the economic development of both cities.


“I was proud to support Robert Garcia for Mayor of Long Beach in 2014 and I am proud to have his support for my campaign for Signal Hill City Council,” said Jones. “As a member of the City Council, I look forward to working with all of our regional partners toward our mutual economic development, including Mayor Garcia.”

Keir is a business owner with an award winning State Farm Insurance agency and a passionate community volunteer. Recognized as one of “40 Under 40” by the Long Beach Post, he has also served on the board of the Legal Aid Foundation and as the President of the Long Beach Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce.


Keir grew up in San Clemente moving to Signal Hill after college and graduate school where he earned a degree in business, with an emphasis in accounting and marketing. He lives in the West Bluff-Skyline HOA with his husband, Thomas-Michael, and his schnauzer, Winston.
